About

Old Town, New Delpshire is a place of dreams forgotten and to possibly be.

Wally Munster did not see the world like other kids. He created an imaginary persona “The Wonder” to turn his love of baseball into protecting the town he lives in as a superhero. On a fateful day, however, a mysterious shadow took his life at the apex of the 1987 Little League World Series finals.

Onward to 1992, a down-on-his-luck J.D. Mays arrives in Old Town to play for the local minor league affiliate. Between his interactions with its unique denizens including the team’s languid head coach, the unrelenting lead investigator of the crime, and even Wally’s ghost, Mays turns into The Wonder. He does so with direction from cassette taped memories and through them seeks the ultimate truth while seeking a stage at the major leagues.

It is a story which explores themes of the past, fantasy, and existentialism.
